Elettra Gallone is a filmmaker, photographer and producer
based between Courmayeur and Milan.
As filmmaker she films documentaries, short promos, interviews and events.
As photographer she shoots portraits, still-life, events, reportages and landscapes.

Biography

Elettra Gallone is a filmmaker, photographer, and producer based between Courmayeur and Milan.

In 2023, she founded Emerald Mountain Films srl, an independent production company rooted in the Alps and dedicated to exploring
the relationship between people and place through documentary cinema and visual arts. EMF also collaborates
on international productions set in the Alps, offering creative direction, production services, and local expertise.
Her debut feature Meeting Samir at Night premiered at the Filmmaker Festival (Milan) and was selected at the Ischia Film Festival.
Her latest production, Courma et Courmayeur (2025), continues the exploration of mountain cultures and identities.
The company’s editorial line focuses on observational storytelling, authenticity, and the dialogue between humanity and nature.

Elettra studied Media Design at NABA (Milan) and earned an MA in Social Anthropology and Anthropology of Film from SOAS (London).
She also attended two courses at the National Film and Television School (NFTS) in London. In 2016 and 2017, she worked as photographer and filmmaker for Emergenza Sorrisi during surgical missions in Benin and Iraq, where she directed her early short The Time That a Gaze Takes.
In 2021, she participated in the Werner Herzog Film Accelerator in Lanzarote, directing the shorts La Ira de Guayota and Poseidón.
She has been living in Courmayeur since 2020, where she founded EMF and focuses on high-altitude filmmaking
and beyond, operating throughout Italy as well.
